HOW TO HIRE

- BEFORE YOU APPLY TO HIRE -

(1) Read our Hire Terms & Conditions (you'll be asked to declare that you accept them) - to view/download click here

Note that the times on your hire agreement reserve the hall and kitchen to your exclusive use.

You must include your setting-up and clearing-away time within this time. This is important in terms of health & safety, insurances, emergency services & security. It also dictates the 'on/off' of the heating

Early entry or late departure will be subject to additional charge, as per the accepted Hire Terms & Conditions.

Entry and exit from the hall is monitored and recorded electronically via both the security and CCTV systems.

(2) Read our Building, Legionnella etc Risk Assessment (you'll declare that you will comply with it on the booking form) - to view/download click here

(3) Read our Fire Risk Assessment & Fire Safety Policy (you'll declare that you will comply with it on the booking form) - to view or download click here

(4) Read our Safeguarding Policy (you'll declare that you will comply with it on the booking form) - to view or download click here

(5) Make your "reservation" directly on-line via our booking / billing system:

Important - Public Liability Insurance

Druitt Hall Community Association maintains insurance cover in respect of both
Employer's Liability (certificate displayed at hall) and Public Liability.

Hirers are advised to consider whether the public liability insurance held by DHCA provides the cover needed for their event, including whether their planned activity falls within the definition of acceptable events as provided by our insurer

Details of the cover provided / excluded are provided in the 'Risk Profile' which we complete each year.
In particular, hirers should note the exclusion clause relating to COVID-19 / infectious diseases.

A copy of that document can be downloaded here or a copy can be collected by prior notice in person from our booking agent.

Our insurance brokers (A-Plan) advise us
"With regard to the various hirers, they may want to consider having Stall Holders Events Insurance. If they require an annual policy, perhaps because they hold multiple events throughout the year, then we can certainly provide them with a quote for this.
If anyone perhaps just does one off events, then we suggest https://www.insurevents.com
