Druitt Hall is available for hire by groups and by individuals.
We favour hire to community groups, charities and family occasions, but commercial hires are also taken to support our work.
Once a hire is confirmed, the facility is reserved for the hirer's use as a private hire.

At the May 2024 meeting of Trustees it was decided to maintain our hire charges for existing long-term hirers (currently there are 15) at 2023 levels for the following quarter. These charges remain subject to a quarterly review by Trustees.
New hirers are subject to increased hire rates.
It should be recognised and commended by hirers and residents, through the voluntary (ie unpaid) efforts of our volunteers, that 2023 was another successful year. With average lettings over a 48 week period at 37.5hrs per week, the estimated footfall at the hall for that period was some 18,000 - 20,000 persons. Clearly, if this freely-given time were to be paid for at normal rates, then hire rates would need to be doubled or else subsidised from the public purse.
Regarding the promised extension of DHCA's lease, the process has now extended over 3 years and 1 month and still continues. The draft lease proposed a year ago by the landlord but then rejected by them has been brought forward again (unamended) and then referred back to the landlord's solicitors to deal with various queries and corrections. We look forward to hearing further on this in the near future. Issue of the lease will enable us to apply for substantial grant funding.
