Welcome and thank you for visiting!

Once a hire is confirmed, the facility is reserved for the hirer's use as a private hire.

Please include in your timings for entry/setting up AND for clearing away/final exit.

Hirers on the premises outside of the time reserved will be liable to additional charges AND, importantly:

  • may clash with Druitt Hall's ongoing maintenance etc works (ie a safety issue!)
  • may not be covered by our insurances and
  • may result in misinformation to the emergency services.

For the full conditions of hire refer to our To Hire section.

When booking, hirers are required to confirm having read and accepted these terms.

News / Progress

After 6 years of dedicated service, Sara and The Regent have had to relinquish the duties of taking bookings on our behalf.

However, we are delighted to welcome Sara to the Board of Trustees

Our booking, billing etc services are handled via the HallMaster system.

Visitors to this website can view the current 'live' availability of the main hall

At the January meeting of Trustees it was decided to maintain our hire charges for existing long-term hirers at 2023 levels into the new year.

These charges will, however, be subject to a quarterly review by Trustees.

Interior painting of the windows continues according to available volunteer time and temperature. The operation works around our very full schedule of events.

Thanks to a grant from Dorset Community Foundation, vinyl flooring has been installed in the three storerooms.

There is news on the extension of our lease - a process which has currently extended over 2 years and 9 months. We understand that a draft lease is in the hands of the Town Clerk and we look forward to being consulted on it in the near future. Issue of the lease will enable us to qualify for substantial grant funding.

Druitt Hall since 2012

Here are some recent photos showing how lovely the hall now looks. Come and see for yourself!

A short video showing the condition of the hall in 2012, before DHCA took on the lease, can be viewed on our History (Druitt Hall) page.

More video and photos are slowly being added to show exterior and interior conditions from 2013 onward, recording work on the extensive improvements carried out since then.

A more-recent video about a visit to Druitt Gardens (pre-dating work to the windows and cladding), can be found on this very website, here under Location.
